Viking Land News
It has been reported that Underdogz United manager Izuka has been trotting out the excuses for his sides poor showings recently, most lately a 2-1 win for the Vikings at Surprise Stadium.
"my main keeper was out" whined Izuka, "My defensive average age was low", "it's the coaches fault they picked the wrong midfielders" Where all excuses by MANAGER Izuka.
Vikings manager Eaglesrjh was quick to retaliate. "Izuka can blame all these things if he wants" said the boss "Bottom line is he is the manager of the team and he is the one who makes decisions! He picked his playmaker and chose to mark the wrong midfielder. The buck stops here pal!
"He seems to have happily overlooked the fact that we voluntarily put the young keeper in goal. He bangs on about his main keeper being back but Raasch should be back for us also". Add to that the fact the winner was scored by our 18 year old 4 skilled striker and that when one of their playes brutally attacked Milic (effectively ending the defenders career) Ferdinand came on and behold our defensive average age was below 26 too!
"Now I think Izuka is a very good manager but he will improve when he stops making excuses and steps up to the plate to deal with bad days as well as take the praise for good days"
"Tactically I cant say I was brilliant today but bottom line is he longballed over a 4 man midfield, I long balled over a 3 man midfield. So basically his long balls where landing with 2 strikers against 4 defenders, my long balls landed for 3 strikers against 4 defenders, That was the difference in this match."
"I still think Izuka is a great manager and look forward to the return leg on Tuesday, just wish he'd man up, take the heat when it's on rather than deflecting the issue. Bottom line, HE picked the team, HE picked the tactics Ok some things like his main keeper being unavailable he cant change but that happens to us all!
With that Eaglesrjh got off his soap box to go and make sure his squad is ready for what is now likely to be a keenly contested return leg on Tuesday.
