What would seem to be a tight game on paper turned into a six-goal-bonanza on grass as Kensington Boys Club failed to grab the vital three points needed to fight for promotion.
"This was probably an entertaining match for the neutrals, but conceding three goals is a terrible shame at this level of football. Our midfield provided some excellent chances despite poor Max being heavily marked for some reason but Darryl really had a bad day in goal. There were some tactical mistakes which I take full blame for but in the end, this is division 2 football in a nutshell. Sadly, AJ Rovers proved that they belong in first place by a crushing 4-0 win and that´s the kind of game we need to provide in order to compete."
Kensington now face Southampton who are fighting relegation with a really young team while Rovers and Real Madrid have a tough schedule ahead of them. Hopefully Kensington can show they are division 1 material in the coming fixtures.
"Aubrey de Vere is expected to return but it will have to be seen whether he can return to his glory days form-wise. It is quite imperitive to get a good result on Friday as the mighty Belly Tubbies await us next week and I must say they look the stronger at the moment and will be fierce competitors for the crown."
