Hans for the memories

Hans Riegler bid an emotional farewell to the home support at The Thorp Arches yesterday.

Riegler is leaving for pastures new as the Amateurs manager looks to freshen his squad up in the hope of avoiding relegation. Riegler has been an important player over the past couple of seasons but rumours of a bust up with fellow midfielder Murray Davis meant that something had to give.

“Hans has been a top player for us and I’m glad he’s ended his time with us on a high, we have had some off field issues which I’m not going to go into right now. We’ve managed to grab another point against one of the top sides in the division and we just need that elusive win to push us out of the bottom three. We have a six pointer next up against Hun Haters, it is a game we just cannot afford to lose”.
