Did TCM actually turn up?

Alsanak FC made easy work of destroying a substandard TCM side today at Mosquito Alley.

Within 1 minute of the kick off Alsanak signalled there intent with a driving shot on goal from Sebastian Norcott which went just over the bar.

Just 2 minutes later Max Jekyll hit the post with a rocket free kick, TCM goalie Burt Challis could only look on with relief.

The breakthrough came in th 19th minute within a crisp counterattack, Albert Scully slotting the ball past a flapping Challis, where were his defence?

TCM got their solitary chance of the game 3 minutes later, a crisp chip from the unusually quiet Jordi Rodri was fingertipped over the bar by Alsanak goalie Cameron Peyton.

With the exception of a little sychronised diving from Chano Delgado and Juan-Jose Galiano which resulted in a yellow card for each the rest of the 1st half was mainly eventful. TCM went in at half time with their heads down, expecting the hairdryer treatment from boss RDCM.

TCM came out looking a little more focussed,....... which lasted for all of 1 minute before a sloppily given away free kick resulted in a delightful half volley from goalscorer Albert Scully which was effectively pushed over by the TCM goalie.

Scully was again close to scoring just 2 minutes later, firing straight at Challis, who was starting to wonder what his team mates were doing.

TCM manager RDCM started giving the dugout a good kicking in frustration to the derision of the home fans, before being ordered to sit down by a pompous 4th official. The Alsanak fans singing "Send him off, send him off".

TCM defender Tord Jakobson was yellow carded moments later for a nasty tackle from behind on Elliot Burbank, the resulting free kick skimming the crossbar.

Patryk Stanek was brought on a few minutes later for the struggling Constantino Gris.

By the 58th minute TCM heads had dropped completely nothingRDCMcould shout from the sidelines could influence the game, yet another sloppily given away free kick was headed against the wood work by Alsanak midfield star Niall Hedges.

TCM stemmed the tide for 20 minutes, but could not break forward Scully brokethrough again, hitting the woodwork for Alsanak for the 2nd time in the 2nd half with a good header.

Alsanak Man of the Match Brad Kavanaugh made it 2-0 with an excellent lob from just outside the box, as he ran celebrating towards the home fans. TCM goalie Challis just gestured to his defence to say he can't do it all on his own.

To rub salt in the wounds TCM midfielder was stretchered off with a suspected groin injury to be replaced by Eliseu Henriques.

A sweet volley deep into injury time from Duncan Lumsden, after a Jekyll corner made it 3-0.

TCM looked grateful for the final whistle at full time and following their worst performance of the season will be looking to bounce back quickly.

TCM manager RDCM was not happy after the game, " We didn't even turn up, fair play to Alsanak they did well but we did not even give ourselves a chance. If it wasn't for the woodwork and an overworked Challis it could have been a cricket score. Where was the passion, I've saw no motivation or drive out there ", "These lads had better start playing, we were meant to be a 2nd placed side before the game, I've seen sunday league sides play better than that"

"I am not happy, now if you can excuse me I have to have a nice little chat with my team" He then locked the dressing room door and the rumour is noone came out for another 3 hours.
