Late, Late, Late, Drama for Town

The never say die attitude of the Morley players earned a deserved draw away to the Los Samgeles Kings this evening thanks to Adolf Münzberg. His stunning free kick flew past a helpless Dan Cloutier, the free kick proving to be the last kick of the game and the all important equalising goal.

A very evenly matched first half saw the Kings strike first, Moller heading in a cros from winger Handzus much to the delight of the home fans. The home fans were silenced only a minute later, straight from the restart Morley surged forward forcing the Kings to concede a corner. Town midfielder Art Boyle lofted the ball into the box and striker Florian Arnãutu thumped his header home.

Both teams suffered injuries in the first half as the teams refused to shirk any challenge, the tackles were really flying in too in the second half and Morley suffered more woe as striker Roger Farrell and midfielder Art Boyle both picked up knocks in robust challenges to add to the more serious injury Angres Kafka suffered in the first half.

Morley also conceded against the run of play Dustin Brown headed in a cross by Torben Kümmel, Morley looked to be heading for an undeserved defeat when in the 6th minute of injury time referee Hugh Cango awarded a free kick just yards outside the box, Adolf Münzberg stunned the home fans and sent the away fans into raptures with his very late equaliser, many of the home fans incredulous about the length of injury time tried to storm the pitch as the whistle for full time blew.

The draw leaves Morley in 8th place on 18 points in an extremely tight 2nd division, only eight points separate 2nd from 11th. Next up for Morley are two home fixtures, firstly White Hawk FC travel to Scatcherd Park followed by Internazionale.
