Relentless TCM steamroller Wandsworth

TCM made short work of making sure Wandsworth did not become Champions of Division 3 for at least another 4 days. Wandsworth went into the home game needing only a point to seal the championship, but after 21 minutes were 4-0 down after some lethal finishing by an on form TCM side.

TCM signalled their intent with the first goal after 8 minutes, a quick counter saw a a neat pass from Lientur Rial put Jordi Rodri through with only the keeper to beat, a neat sidestep helped him round Alex Mizumura leaving a simple tap in to make it 1-0.

Wandsworth were all at sea, and nothing they could do could penetrate a solid TCM side, a second nearly came courtesy of recalled record signing Loran Rajabi 2 minutes later, but his neat strike smashed against the left post. The second did come on 15 minutes from one of TCM’s three man strike team; Juan-José Galiano, another counter with a pass from midfield dynamo Jordi Rodri put the striker through who placed a wonderful shot passed Mizumura.

The three man strike force of TCM Juan-José Galiano, Loran Rajabi and young Stuart Cooksey were terrorising the Wandsworth defence, the young striker made it 3-0 with a strong shot in the penalty area, the increasingly disheartened Mizumura barking orders at his defence to no avail.

A minute later it was 4-0 Gregorio Jonay making the most of his rare appearance in the side with a 30 yard stunner.

The rest of the half was fairly uneventful; TCM knowing the job was done, Wandsworth having nothing up their sleeve to get back into the game.

Second half; RDCM had obviously told his side to push forward when possible but not to take any unnecessary chances, Young Cooksey got his second 8 minutes after the break with another neat pass from Jonay who was obviously pushing for an extended run in the TCM midfield. Cooksey nearly got his hat trick a couple of minutes later, but smashed a great shot against the woodwork. Job done TCM made the most of a nice afternoon in the sun, Wandsworth with nothing left in their Armoury.

“We did what we needed to” was RDCM’s opening statement, “The lads have been on top of their game since the Alsanak game when we failed miserably. Since then 4 clean sheets and 18 goals, Just 3 more points and we are up so I can have a smile on my face tonight.” “Lets make it 5 out of 5, then we can relax for the last 2 games”

Next up are the Champs whose chances of promotion virtually slipped away with a draw today against wortley.
