Record Breaking TCM make it 7-0

These Charming Men broke their Record Victory today with a stunning demolition of bottom club Here For The Beer, the final result 7-0. The previous record was a 5-0 win against Dream Team on the 24th April.

With manager RDCM's grilling ringing in their ears following last weeks collapse to 2nd placed Alsanak, TCM went for the jugular from the initial whistle taking just 2 minutes to draw first blood.

The goal came was scored from a tight angled shot in the box by Juan-José Galiano, Mauricio Capdevila providing the initial through ball.

Within 2 minutes TCM had their second, Chano Delgado heading in a pinpoint cross from Jordi Rodri.

Here For The Beer were visually shell-shocked, especially when on 6 minutes debutant youth forward Stuart Cooksey struck a stunning volley with his first ever touch of the ball in professional football, the cross coming from Juan-José Galiano.Cooksey only promoted from the youth team 9 days ago a surprise inclusion with club record 3.2 million signing Loran Rajabi keeping the bench warm.

So 3-0 up after 6 minutes and TCM were hungry for more, young HFTB goalie Daniel Mendoza making only his 2nd ever appearance was looking shaky between the sticks.

Here For the Beer broke forward in the 21st minute for their first chance of the game, a free kick was won and a rocket Soloman Kalou shot was well saved by TCM keeper Burt Challis.

Cooksey was nearly on the score sheet again 2 minutes later an inswinging cross from Jordi Rodri nodded just wide after a flying diving header by the youngster who was visually growing in confidence after his debutant goal.

Rodri himself was on the scoresheet almost immediately after, following a nasty tackle outside the box which resulted in a freekick for TCM and a yellow card for Soloman Kalou Rodri slotted home with a curling shot into the top right hand corner.

Young HFTB goalie Daniel Mendoza prevented it from being 5-0 a couple of minutes later with an excellent save following a volley from Juan-José Galiano.

Kalou got Here for the Beers second and last chance of the game moments later heading goalwards but easily saved by a Burt Challis.

4 minutes before the interval Jordi Rodri struck from 35 yards out buoyed by the performance, but firing wide.

4-0 up at half time TCM looked comfortable and their was little way back for HFTB, RDCM telling his team they must go out and do the same second half.

Howemiester thinking more about damage limitation when facing TCM when in full attacking flow.

Following the half time teamtalks HFTB stifled any Charming Men attack play until 11 minutes before the final whistle, when the dam could hold no longer.

Jordi Rodri fired in a cross which was headed home by Mauricio Capdevila, 3 minutes later in the 82nd Chano Delgado headed home from a Linus Streicher cross.

Mauricio Capdevila confirmed his Man of The Match award a few seconds after kick off with a pinpoint cross finding defender Juan-María Urzaiz of all people who slotted past the bewildered Daniel Mendoza to make it 7-0 and scored his first ever competitive goal in the process.

Irregulars Arena were on their feet giving a standing ovation at the final whistle, and the promotion buzz is starting to be felt at the club. 4 points ahead of 4th place with just 18 points to play for and it is all in TCM's hands now......

RDCM was slightly happier today than after the previous game "Now that a little more like it, no one is safe in this side if they don't perform as Rajabi found to his cost today. Young Cooksey came in and played a blinder, its as though all of them hit an off day last week, then all were fully on song today..... Then again after the little chat we had last week I'm not surprised."

"Weve outlined our promotion credentials, now we have to get a good run of form going as the season draws to a close, another tough game against Northwich Victoria next week, another must win game if we wish to keep up with the pace"
