A surprising week for Crimea River as Ithaqua's team of urchins and street children somehow secured a point from the mid-season double header against Special Ones MKII.
Ray Polteg was the hero for River in the home leg of the double header as his 76th minute header cancelled out Alf Ackroyd's opened for Special. In truth the result was incredibly harsh on the visitors who dominated for long periods of the game but lacked a cutting edge in the final third.
Normal service was resumed for River in the return fixture at The Reccy with Special Ones MKII running out easy 3-0 winners with manager Ajtrader100 even securing the manager of the round against side with an average age of four and who haven't changed formation since dinosaurs roamed Numinous park.
