It proved a mixed week for Totaalvoetbal as a win and defeat left them tied at the head of things.
A 2-1 win at Kirkbride had left everyone at the club feeling confident in the early part of the week. Despite going behind to a Richard Weston header the visitors steadied themselves and managed to take the points. They had their midfield duo of Shirsh Vajpayee and Johan Juffing to thank as they each set-up and scored a goal in the 2-1 success.
However, the side then suffered a meltdown as they were thrashed 3-0 at home by OAP Pop Punk. Two goals from Bosse Bong and a fine strike by Habib Bowser ensured a comfortable afternoon for PP and left Totaal scratching their collective head.
Many questions will need to be answered ahead of this week’s matches against ThunderCats and Stanley.
