Totaal Take Four

Totaalvoetbal picked up four points from the last week to keep pace at the top of the RM Invitational.

A trip to Real Madrid saw Totaal emerge 1-0 winners thanks to a Johan Juffing header. In a tight game his goal in the 24th minute was enough to deliver three fine road points for the Dutch side.

Totaal couldn’t quite follow this up at home to Santos, though, as the Brazilians earned a point with a late equaliser. Antonello Ballarin had put the hosts in front with a fine free-kick but Benicio Correa punished some lax marking at the back to head home for Santos and win a point.

Robin Meeblind was said to be “contented” with how things were going but commented that there was still plenty of “scope for improvement.”
