Viking Land News
Toothless Vikings stumbling onwards.
The Vikings drew a blank against Pahang today as promotion is still very much in the balance.
Pahang started the brighter and had a shot on 7 that was saved by the Vikings keeper. The Vikings hit back on 12 but the pahang keeper was equal to Toursounidis's header. This was the end of the first half chances as The Vikings bossed possession with 57% but could not create enough chances.
An early second half freekick gave the Vikings fans hope but the set piece move finished harmlessly wide. 61 minutes and Strachan toe poked wide as the Vikings still struggled against a resolute Pahang side. Pahang had a rare chance on 81 but the Vikings keeper watched it sail over the bar. 0-0 full time
The Vikings manager had some harsh words for his forwards, 3 of them played and despite good form not one played to their skill level!!!!! the manager will be looking for a reaction from the forwards as it is now clear. 2 wins and promotion, anything less and who knows!!!!!
The manager is however aware that Kensington will be tough as they are fighting relegation and Los Samgeles Kings have a new manager and nothing to lose.
The Vikings manager is also now hoping that Kirkbride will play strong against Liverpool as he is happy to concede the title to strengthen promotion hopes!!!!
