It was quite a mixed day for Marseille on Friday, but it must have been 5 times as worse for manager Darren Calvert.
Jonathan Boulding was booked after only 2 minutes which meants he had to be very cautious fo the rest of the game as for Arnaldo Sifredi for F.C. Greatness who was also booked.
It was the 13th minute when Marseille really cranked up the pressure when Cal Beardsley made a storming run up the field and Sid Peyton's through found him expertly and it was vollyed first touch into the bottom left corner.
Petter Lundin was booked soon after that when Greatness fans thought it was a clear red card. The game was quite dull with an expert performance from the Marseille defence and Gyllenhielm got booked after an elbox out of frustration.
The second-half was quite dirty especially when in the 60th minute Sid Peyton came off with an ankle sprain which will put him out for a fort-night at least. Shuttlewood got a pointless booking for dissent at the 80 minute mark. Martinus Benfari was sent-off in the 90th minute when his 2 footed challenge was around 2 seconds late and he will be suspended for F.C. Greatness's next game.
Cathal spoke to us after the match:
"I am very happy with the club's performance today, especially from the defence who were are main part of the team. I am very dissapointed with Peyton's injury which will definitely affect our team badly!"
