Hardinho Halts Hawks

White Hawk FC's unbeaten season came to an end as Hardinho's Southampton defeated them 2-1 at St Marys. The first-half was all about the league leaders as they created four chances to the hosts none. The exceptional Clarence Ong A Fat again having a massive role in the game and opening goal. His free-kick setting up Clyde Nageswar for a fine finish. Southampton were a changed side after the interval, competing hard and creating chances themselves. Aaron Winder netting his eighth goal of the season from the penalty spot before a dramatic end to the game saw Saints win it. Leopold Beazley setting up forward Norman Hemmings to send the home fans into delight. Hardinho wasn't about to play down the victory, "Yes, yes, yes, f***ing yes, check out those tactics. Hardinho you legend." he exclaimed to a rather stunned interviewer.

A game even more important to the two sides involved was played out at The bone fracture arena. Fourth and third placed teams, The Fracture gang and Belly Tubbies respectively, met to decide who would take a hold of the last promotion slot. The hero turned out to be Belly Tubbies' midfielder Andras Boloni who scored a brace as they eased to a 2-0 victory. His first a fine header from a Rowan Flood cross before he drilled home from a corner to settle the game after 73 minutes. Belly Tubbies withstood a sending-off to Dave Whittingham to go four points ahead of The Fracture gang with just three games to go.

Picking up their first win under new management were These Charming Men who strolled to a comprehensive 3-0 over The Posh. After a dull first-half the home side burst into life after the interval and were ahead within moments of the restart. Tomas Riano finishing a lovely breakaway to send confidence soaring. A bad injury to Milorad Gavrancic seemed to dispirit the visitors and when Alvaro Hilliardo unleashed a brilliant long range shot for 2-0 you sensed it was game over. Rufus Guy was then sent-off for The Posh before a 91st minute goal for Lientur Rial completed their misery. The win saw These Charming Men leapfrog their opponents and receive a welcome boost going into the final weeks.

Carthage FC were 2-0 victors at Morley Town F.C. as the home side switched focus to the new season. The visitors had to overcome a poor penalty miss from Marcus Spillane but did so in style. Spillane making amends with a much more difficult chance, hitting a beauty from long range. They had to wait until late to seal the match as Morley kept battling and had chances of their own. Nicholas Crowe was to deliver the killer blow, shooting home in the area before celebrating with his team's supporters. Leeg21 brushed off the defeat in his press conference, admitting that this was now "just an extended pre-season" as he wants to "prepare his players for the demands of next season."

Another away win came at the western as Charlottenburg FC defeated wortley afc 1-0. Despite seeing Paul Scholes sent from the field Charlottenburg put in a very good defensive display to keep their hosts at bay. Despite wortley having the majority of chances it was Charlottenburg who would make the most of their solitary second-half chance when Teddy Sheringham produced a calm finish from a corner. The win sees Charlottenburg on 21 points as they build their side for future seasons in the RM Invitational leagues. Wortley will be hoping for better things from their team in their second season.
