A very good performance by The Los Samgeles Kings saw them nearly nick a point from Kirkbride Strollers. The Kings fans were extremely surprised at how well their team played as they have failed to see anything from their team all season long but the appointment of New manager Stripy8 has lifted the players spirits. We should surely see a lot more fans at our next game and hopefully fill up all of those unwanted empty seats.
They put everything they had into our last game and after the new managers philosophy which was, "first impressions are everything so play well or get out" the players are now playing for their place in the squad. Especially with the new gaffer looking for talent elsewhere which every new manager does.
We worked very hard against a tough opposition today and although we had more possession, more chances on goal and got the better of the tactics, it took a miss-hit shot on goal to defeat us.
Usually this would have made the players get their heads down but morale is high because they now know how well they can play as a team.
