The Mafia came face to face with resurgent Goals Alound yesterday, who are under reasonably new management in Ocs18.
The first half started poorly, with both teams getting back into the groove after a long break. Constantino de Melo was booked for Goals Aloud on the 14 minute mark, but that's about all that happened for the first forty five minutes.
Jimmy gave his team an inspirational team talk, telling them to play more attacking football and go for some goals. After just one chance in the first half, that was exactly what was needed.
The team certainly listened as they attacked down the flanks. It only took 3 minutes of the second half before a Ralf Kron floating cross was put in the back of the net midfielder Oscar Cervantes. That was his 6th goal in just 9 games for the club.
Mahmoud Sherko, the Egyptian striker, was one of Jimmy's first signings when he took over the reins at the Mexican Mafia (then FC Joga Bonito). Four games last season saw Sherko take a while to settle, and he went through a bit of a goal drought. Tonight saw his first goal, in his fifth match.
Then, Oscar Cervantes had to be carried off the pitch in the last minute, after he was slightly injured. Henk van Huijksloot got his first 10 seconds of play.

"I'm very happy. Not only 3 points, but a clean sheet. I'm happy for Mahmoud too, I hope he has got off the mark now... and hopefully it will trigger a flood of goals." : said Jimmy in a post match interview.
"Hopefully we can maintain this form throughout the season, as we are looking to get promoted... if not too win the division."
"I am also pleased that my manager skill went up, lets hope that continues too."
