Champion Hawks Soaring

White Hawk FC were crowned Division Three champions as they put in a thoroughly professional display to defeat Belly Tubbies 2-0 at Flabbyland. Despite suffering a nasty injury to Mario Asongie, White Hawk were always in control. Their goals came late in the game as Clyde Nageswar scored his ninth goal of the season before Glenn Rijssel sealed the victory after a free-kick from Clarence Ong A Fat. The championship is just reward for a side that have stormed the division and will look to continue their form in the loftier surroundings of Division Two from next season. Belly Tubbies remain on course to join them despite the defeat, leading The Fracture gang by one point going into the final two games of the season.

The Fracture gang were 2-0 winners in what proved to be MANIAC08's final game in charge at These Charming Men. In a game full of chances it was the visitors who took the lead through Ferdinand Tattershall, his thid goal of the campaign. These Charming Men kept pressing throughout but the extra quality of The gang proved decisive. Yoshitaka Karahira leading by example to set-up Stephen Lorimer for the clinching goal after 74 minutes. The Fracture gang now search for a new manager while These Charming Men look forward to next season.

Morley Town F.C. received a welcome boost by defeating second-placed Southampton 3-1 at Scatcherd Park. A dominant display by the hosts saw them remain in control throughout. Their hero was Jarvis Greenhalgh as he hit a superb hat-trick to leave Saints reeling. A fine shot in the area gave him his first after 26 minutes before a super header made it 2-0 before the break. A long range cracker completed his hat-trick to seal the points before Norman Hemmings headed in a late consolation for the visitors. Hardinho was taken aback by the defeat, "Wow, even with my kids playing and the tactics I set, to lose 3-1 is pretty shocking. I'll put that down to one of those days."

Charlottenburg FC kept alive their slim hopes of pinching promotion by defeating Carthage 2-1. After a tight and competitive first-half the game opened up after the interval with more space appearing. All the goals were to come in a seven minute period near the end of the match. The excellent Teddy Sheringham heading in well from a Stan Collymore cross to give the hosts a 1-0 advantage. They were quickly pegged back through Quincy Lansbury as a spirited Carthage refused to lie down. Charlottenburg, to the delight of their supporters, were to grab the winner when too much time and space was afforded to Collymore who fired in for a deserved win. Earlier in the week, Charlottenburg manager Potsdamerplatz had reported that "All is well with the players and a good Change Report is expected" as the new season rapidly approaches.

The Posh suffered a damaging home defeat to wortley afc in a game that saw a couple of major injuries. Dennis Arnelius for The Posh and Curt Pryor for wortley both taking bad knocks that will cause concern with the change report approaching. The game saw wortley dominate and take the lead through a Kingsley Gritt penalty. Jake Shiver added a quick double after the interval to put the game beyond their hosts before Leroy Robins pulled one back. Walter Willock added two late goals to give the scoreline a more realistic look. Both sides will be aiming for a good change and an improved season next time round.
