With 2 home losses and 2 away wins perhaps WBS will be requesting all games be played away from the Hawthorns this season. Their latest win on the road came against a tidy New York City.
As is usually the case between these teams, the match was played in good spirit, despite WBS collecting 5 yellows for fairly innocuous challenges.
Strollers took the lead in the 11th minute when a Billy Basset through ball set Sneekes free to put the away side in front.New York hit back on the half hour, a sublime free kick form Idriss.WBS stepped up a gear after the break and were rewarded for their efforts in the 74th minute, a pinpoint Sneekes cross finding the head of Robson who planted the ball into the back of the net.WBS saw out the game for their 2nd win of the season.
WBS manager Dinky told the press "I'm pleased with the win, New York are a good side and not any teams will come away from here with all 3 points. There were 1 or 2 fantastic individual performences, but the team as a whole played really well"
Next up for WBS is another away tie at rivials Three Lions.
