Eclectic Shock

The season might have ended as it began, with defeat to Holgate Pathetic, but the real story of the week for Crimea River was securing perhaps the most least expected result of the season as the home side saw off manager-less Crimson Tigers 2-0.

Jing Xuan Ang and Carl Spegel grabbed the goals as the River kids secured the result that served up a giant slice of humble pie to the boss that boldly claimed pre-season his side would finish win-less, goal-less and point-less at the end of the season.

So division 3, or the land of the youth teams, finally beckons and River are firmly expected to be one of the sides in the hunt for the coveted 12th spot in the table.
