Totaal in Fourth with Four to go

Totaalvoetbal endured a frustrating week as their title challenge spluttered along.

A trip to AFC Stanley was first on the agenda and when Pierre van Diemen shot home from inside the area things were looking good for the Oranje. However, Luke Riou levelled after some poor marking from a corner and Totaal would not be able to regain the initiative. Indeed, things got worse as Shirsh Vajpayee was sent-off late in the day to add problems to a midfield already shorn of Bosse Bong due to injury.

Due to this Totaal would face up to league-leading ThunderCats in a 5-2-3 formation. Ultimately it produced a decent performance albeit without a cutting edge. They would survive an offside ThunderCats' goal which, on second viewing, looked legitimate and the sides would go away with a point each.

Totaal would sit in fourth following the week’s results just two points back but the reality is, with Santos looking in awesome form, they might just need four wins and still have to hope for some help from elsewhere.
