Gooners had a roller coaster week of fixtures which included, their second largest victory, an injury to a key player and a slender loss to Greatness. FMRealism refused to talk about the Carthage fixture, stating the reason ... he did not want to get in trouble with the FA for his opinions on their conduct. The game did throw Gooners a life line though after the loss of their only experienced striker, when they increased their goal difference to ten.
The injury to Henry meant that Borja who was fit for the Greatness game and you have to feel may have made the difference if not only for his dead ball abilities could not be risked... as it would have put the rest of their season in jepordy had he become injured again! They probably deserved a point from the game but as things stand, a nine goal difference to rivals Greatness will be seen as a good result at this stage of the season.
FMRealism took the positives from the week:
"As always my players come first and Borja is now back, it is fantastic news.. not only back but in amazing form and this means we have many more options when deciding upon tactics and formations. Henry looked to be beyond repair but a huge win bonus combined with some well timed training means... we look to have rescued both his career and possibly our season. Its still early days but all signs are loooking positive and we hope that he will be back in action very soon, with a possibility to finish the season strongly and fingers crossed increase in skill.
It is maybe the best out come we could have hoped for.. of course we lost by one goal, but that means we still have the cash to spend and with development looking very good hopefully we can improve upon that and form will be key in the remaining games. On the subject of development we will use the Charming game to play almost all our fringe players, many fans may frown upon this decision but as I just mentioned we are looking at an excellent CR on the whole and with forms very high the timing is correct.
Yes we may lose the lead in the title chase, but hopefully the young lads playing here will continue to put in the kind of performances we have seen recently and make a game of it. If there is any team of those in the chasing pack we would rather give the three points to, my choice would be Charming and the games are maybe the ones I look forward to the most every season... I'm hoping they can hold on to the third spot for sure.
We have our own agenda aswell of course and with the return of Henry around the corner and with Borja back we have a real chance in the remaining fixtures with many being played at home.. and with many teams visiting here needing a win, it should allow us to play our game. The nine goal difference is where my focus is now... yes we may drop to second but with player development all but finished and under no expectation to win.. we could put another run together. Aslong as we remain within touching distance of Greatness I feel the pressure may get to them. There is also a tough game in Kensington for them Tuesday, Patrick is on a good run currently and we have been very impressed.. it is all still to play for."
