Anime had to come to terms with the fact promotion hopes are already starting to fade for them, with that in mind what better match then a trip to a title chasing team which came in the form of PSV.
Anime were able to hold PSV in the reverse fixture in a thrilling 2-2 draw so no one was expecting a dull game here. Once again the fixture delieved a fantastic game of football. The first half was not too thrilling but Joshy was left the happeir manager Anime denied PSV any meaningfull strike on goal and came closer of the two teams. The second half exploded into life and just 3 minutes in the visitors took the lead. 19 year old Ruri Sarasa's pile driver rippled the back of the net as Anime danced by the corner flag. As the match went on Anime started to think that perhaps all 3 points were up for grabs. PSV came close on 4 occasions and on the 76th minute made things all sqaure, Claudio Collauto showed Anime the piece to their puzzle that they are missing as his sweetly struck freekick floated into the back of the net. At 1-1 it was anyones game but neither team were able to find their elusive goal. Full time soon arrived and things finished 1-1 but more importantly Anime might of finished PSV's chance of winning the title. Joshy had this to say in the post match interview...
" It was another close match, today we came close to stealing all 3 points however PSV showed us why they are chasing the title. They came back from a shock goal and also came close to winning all 3 points themselves. Perhaps a draw was a fair result, We always carry a thret on our travels and today PSV got stung. We used our old tricks and showed gritt and determination to win a vital point in our currently loosing battle of promotion. Now we are 11 points off the pace perhaps they are just dreams ? "
