ThunderCats F.C put an end to Yorkshires Amateurs recent upturn in fortunes with a comprehensive 4-0 victory. Silvio Falcao set the ball rolling with a 25th minute opener. This was quickly followed by goals from Nelson Queimado and Isaac Rafferty to put them 3-0 up by the break. An unfortunate injury to Freddie Roos and a penalty by Juliano Leite completed Amateurs' misery. Manager Danlufc13 feeling delicate today due to laying down the law after the "most inept performance of my time here" left him fuming.
Usurped at the top by ThunderCats are Hun Haters who were defeated 3-0 at MVB Arena. A Pierre van Diemen hat-trick boosting Totaalvoetbal to one of their best performances of the season.
Crystal Palace and AS Roma (Villarreal CF) remain locked together after a 0-0 draw at Selhurst Park. With chances for both sides they will be hoping to improve their finishing going into the rematch next week.
At the foot of the table Doncaster Rovers got their season underway with a 4-2 win over 23rd Professionals. In a thrill-a-minute encounter Tyrone Barratt, Walter Axford, Derick Maley and an own goal provided Donny with some much needed relief. Xpertelevener keen to stress though that they need to "pick up as many points as possible" as they strive to stay in the division.
EASTHAM FC failed to climb above Glasgow Rangers after a late equaliser denied them a crucial three points. Joe Urpani had put EASTHAM in front only for Cesar Monparlet to equalise. They hit the front again after 76 minutes with Elton Barkworth finding enough space in the penalty area to finish well. However, a late Dante de Matteo free-kick made sure the status quo remained between the sides.
