Izuka saw his Three Lions FC side continue to set the pace at the top of Division One after a goal from Luca Tonizu finished off a breakaway move early in their game with Tropical Thunder. In truth it could have been more as they wasted chances against an out-of-sorts Thunder.
The days big winner in the division was the modest Darrencalvert who saw his side defeat Juventus 5-1 and then pronounce "How good am I?". Martinus Benfari was the star for Greatness with a second-half hat-trick. Other scorers being Agostino Filippinetti and Paolo Serena as Feliciano Pinardi was the only Juve player to make any contribution of note.
Just above Greatness in the table are the impressive AFC Stanley. Quietly going about their business of building a very good side Markham led his side to a 2-1 win over Santos FC. A late winner from Matts Wallman settling the game after Enrico Fuentes and Yogender Pragurd had scored in a very competitive first-half.
Slipping out of the promotion places are Portsmouth after they were held 2-2 at Newry City. It could have been worse but for an inspirational comeback after finding themselves 2-0 behind after an hour. A Muharem Husic brace putting the home side clear before Oscar Cervantes matched the feat with a double of his own.
The day's other game saw basement sides Goals Aloud and Royal Navy United meet at Hoppitop Ground. Goals Aloud running out 3-0 winners due to Rowley Kinsella, Trevor Fazackerley and Constantino de Melo. They even had the luxury of a missed penalty when Srebrenko Cacic misfired from the spot.
