It is to be noted that Colburn Town have been bought out by a wealthy bidder who, at this time, wishes to remain anonymous. In line with this new start the team have been renamed and relocated as to help lose the stigma attached to the teams numerous appalling performances over the last season.
Newly appointed manager Grimeslufc issued this statement earlier today.
“I feel I have indeed been weighed down by the huge responsibility given to me by being handed a team that, at this time, feel cheated by such a lack of managing talent. Due to this some of you may have noticed the team have been somewhat under achieving in Division 3, but I feel under my guidance the team will be turned around over the forthcoming season.”
And on the subject of the soon to be closed transfer window Grimeslufc wished to make clear that “The lads are not to be entirely blamed for their work on the field, I wish to keep my current squad rather than buying in new players because with money in the bank and with the wealth of talent in the team I think ‘These Charming Men’ can be a force to be reckoned with.”
