Leeg21 was a happy after his side won their first game as an RM Invitational team. Belly Tubbies were the victims as Morley put in a confident performance that belied their league position. A disappointing Tubbies were put to the sword with goals by Dustin Wotton and Jarvis Greenhalgh in the opening 17 minutes. Greenhalgh added a third before half-time as Morley cut open the visiting defence at will. Sources from inside the club indicated that the players and manager enjoyed some bonding time after the victory as reward for their hard work.
Belly Tubbies missed their opportunity to enter the promotion places as The Fracture gang suffered defeat at the hands of The Posh. Despite fielding a youthful line-up Leeds-Fan will have been delighted with the win as his team put in a backs-to-the-wall performance. Soaking up pressure The Posh put in a sterling defensive effort and were rewarded when they scored with their only chance. A pacy breakaway move ending with Kenneth Caster blasting home. The Fracture gang will be looking to sharpen up their finishing in the few days before their next match after contriving to miss all six efforts on goal.
The game of the day saw Charlottenburg FC and White Hawk FC clash at The Ruth Bader Ginsburg Arena. In a very even contest the match swung from side to side. After a relatively quiet opening 45 the match exploded after the interval. Benjamin Wenzel opening the scoring for the home side on his debut. The hosts suffered an unfortunate injury to Tony Adams and then saw Clarence Ong A Fat equalise from a corner. Adan Donahue put the visitors into the lead before a breathless final few minutes. Helmut Montag looking like he had secured a point for the home side with a fine header only for Ruud Sparendam to break hearts in the 92nd minute to keep White Hawk clear at the top.
Southampton lost ground on White Hawk after a 3-3 draw at wortley afc. This wasn't completely unexpected, though, as Hardinho himself admitted before the game that he would be "putting out a weaker side." The Saints started brightly enough and were rewarded with the opening goal after 16 minutes. Niko Tervola the beneficiary of a Jim Hotte pass. wortley afc turned the match around in an 18 minute spell before half-time. A penalty was duly despatched by Walter Willock before a quality header from Brandon Hiller saw them go into the sheds 2-1 up. Tervola quickly equalised after the break as Southampton came out with renewed determination. Willock looked like he had denied Southampton with his second goal of the game. Southampton weren't to be denied, however, and Norman Hemmings scored a 90th minute equaliser to end a pulsating encounter.
Carthage continued their recent scoring form by putting a poor Colburn Town side out of their misery. Quincy Lansbury scored an early goal before Marcus Spillane took over. In a show of excellent finishing Spillane scored three super goals to bag the match ball and the three points for an upwardly mobile home side.
