Buttons Shooting for the Moon

Miracle worker Buttons made sure his Liverpool side remained upwardly mobile with another managerial masterclassin Division Two. Goals from Ryan Babel and Kenny Dalglish ensured a 2-0 win over Ripplenet United although an injury to Albert Riera will have caused him some concern. Reports in Button press indicated that the manager would be aiming for more awards.

Meanwhile at the top of the league The Vikings kept their unbeaten streak going with a hard fought 0-0 draw at bossebong's Kroklund Kings. Although edging chances and dominating possession The Vikings could not find a way past a determined Kroklund side and will have to make do without Tasos Toursounidis in their next match after his late sending-off.

Keeping up their recent good form are Manchester United who stormed into second place after a 3-1 win over Kensington Boys Club. The game was over as a contest after 31 minutes with goals from Sture Kiltorp, Nenad Ljaljic and Mikel Medina stunning the away side. A free-kick from Jeremias Bray proving no consolation for Patrikpatrik who was heard mumbling "I thought I was a contender". At the moment he may settle for climbing out of the relegation zone.

Hovering just above the dreaded drop zone after a 1-0 defeat at Pahang are Real Madrid FC. A late long range strike from Henning Gassner breaking Madrid hearts and giving TrueBlueFC cause for celebration.

In another 1-0 scoreline Kirkbride Strollers edged out AJ Rovers thanks to a clinical strike from captain David Proctor after 15 minutes.
