Gooners, Wortley Fire In Classic

Gooners’ first match under FMRealism ended in an exciting 3-3 draw with wortley afc. The chances came early as an Alan Shearer header went wide before the forward also hit a powerful shot off-target. Gooners continued to impress and only a fine save denied a Kyle Lang header before on nine minutes they finally took the lead; Jim Hotte chipping Perry Gareth for the opening goal. Wortley didn’t take long to equalise, though, as Walter Willock produced a clever chip of his own on 18 minutes. Rai Kike came close to putting wortley in front with an excellent volley and the score remained tied at the break. Gooners started the second-half on the front foot but Hotte placed his shot wide. Harold Hankers did better with his header, depositing it in the net following a corner for a 2-1 lead. 3-1 followed a minute later as Lang also headed in to give the hosts a grip on the game. Shearer forced Gareth into a save as they looked to put the game safe but wortley would hit back. Orlando Bhoendie produced an excellent diving header to halve the deficit before a powerful strike from Willock made it 3-3 with just minutes to go. This proved the last action of an entertaining match-up. Thegreatlordbags will be pleased with his side’s resilience and they sit well-placed in second following an unbeaten start to the campaign. Meanwhile, FMR explained that he is ‘new’ to the game but added that he has ‘proved (himself) to be very capable.’ With this in mind there may be exciting times ahead for Gooners’ fans.

Dream Team carried on their merry way with a 5-2 success at Glory Hornets. The visitors were quickly into their stride with Kris Krafty converting a penalty for a 1-0 lead on 13 minutes. Warren Wish failed to make it 2-0 as his lob went over while Paolo Ballotta stunned the leaders with a fine strike following a corner to level matters. Mil Moody would see to it that the parity wouldn’t last long, though, as he produced a clinical strike in the area and the visitors would go in 2-1 in front at the break. Ronaldo Ready headed straight at Blacksmith before Raphael Dearden deflected the ball past his own ‘keeper to give the visitors the ideal start to the second-half. The Hornets had an effort by Toma Popadic saved while Garry Gain curled an effort wide for DT. A free-kick by Dudley Dream narrowly missed but it would be 4-1 as Dream shot home from inside the area. Moody flicked in a header for his second and his team’s fifth of the day and although Popadic placed home a nice goal for the Hornets, Dream Team emerged worthy winners. MrJames was understandably pleased with the win and the fact that his team had ‘scored the most’ this season. GregPerkins’ side is enduring a nightmare start and they will need to improve their form if it is to get better any time soon.

Morley Town returned to winning ways with a comfortable 2-0 home success over Mighty Mojos. Zacharias Ashe forced a decent save from Housham before Helder Velez headed in the opener on eight minutes. Ashe then chipped against the bar before Mojos hit back with a chance of their own; a free-kick by Jayden Stevens being easily held. The Mojos would have a goal disallowed before the break as Ferdinand Quinn was denied for handball while Florian Arnautu saw a shot saved at the other end. Morley opened after the break with a powerful shot by Dustin Wotton which went wide while Angres Kafka hit a free-kick over. A volley by Abraham Ashorn for MM needed saving but Morley would secure the win with a fine shot by Wotton on 76 minutes. Morley News reported that ‘Edward Shore looks to be on his way out’ of the club as Leeg21 looks to keep his side progressing. Spikyjamie’s side fell to their first defeat with this result and the manager will need to keep closer watch if there aren’t to be more to follow.

Rolling Thunder maintained their good progress with a 2-1 away win at Jammas AllStars. A fifth minute header by Bojan Krkic gave them the perfect start. The AllStars worked their way into the contest with Clyde Henderson going close to equalising on 29 minutes with a well-placed shot. The second-half opened with a chance for Beltran Bergantinos but the defender’s effort was saved by Sherwood. Thunder would then have a free-kick by Danilo Bauza miss the target while Krkic did likewise with a header. They looked like paying for these misses when Amadeo Larreina converted a penalty at the other end to level proceedings. However, Thunder would have the final say as a well-placed header by Erland Hangeland won the game on 89 minutes for Jimmy’s side. Jimmy now has them well-set in fifth and with the team getting to know one another the signs for a successful season are good. Jamma will be keen for his side to pick up another three points soon but the manager will realise that his is a long-term project.

EspAda won their first game under Malteseexpert with a 3-0 triumph at Norfolk. A seventh minute strike by Andrea Gualco brushed the post before the midfielder then hit the angle with a half-volley as EspAda started strongly. They duly got their goal courtesy of a powerful long range shot by Diego Maradona and the forward was only denied a second moments later by fine work from Clemens in goal. Maradona would also hit the angle with a brilliantly curled shot as the visitors went into the break fully in control of the match. The second-half continued in similar fashion with Maradona having an effort saved before finally getting his second with an expert header. Norfolk had their only chance on 58 minutes but Tajo Juanjo’s lob went over. EspAda’s third goal came on 80 minutes and it proved to be Maradona’s hat-trick as he placed the ball beyond Clemens. Malteseexpert at least has something to build on when he next logs in and if he can improve their form they may still have a big say in the season. Nothing much changes for Howemiester with the future being all-important at Norfolk.

Alsancack picked up an impressive win as they triumphed 2-1 at Cressex. Chances would come at both ends during an interesting contest with the first being a free-kick for the hosts which Emil Rojas put wide. Gabriel Agbonlahor side-footed wide for Alsancak before Rojas had another free-kick effort this time saved for the hosts. Cressex would miss a great chance to take the lead as Lauro Poggi put a penalty against the angle before Fraizer Campbell smashed a mishit shot against the post for Alsancak. The score would remain goalless at the break but the second-half would see more chances arrive. Tyrggvi Valsson put a header over before he did much better with his second effort to give the hosts a 1-0 lead. Gabriel Baldwin responded for Alsancak but his free-kick was saved by Clooney but they would level as a powerful strike by Mark Noble wasn’t to be saved. A minute later and Baldwin brushed the post with an effort as the visitors stepped up the pressure. They would be rewarded as Agbonlahor again mishit his shot but this time found the back of the net. Eoghan Millar missed a late chance but it wasn’t to matter as the visitors held on for a priceless win. Wienersnitzel has his young charges in sixth and with good form they could take some scalps this term. Villan_RAS will hope his side bounces back following their first defeat of the season and they look in with a good shout as they travel to EspAda on Friday.
