Rolling Thunder 0-4 Arsenal UK
Arsenal produced a scintillating performance to dispose of Rolling Thunder. The midfield played to a high standard dominating possession and creating 6 chances, whilst scoring all the goals. The midfield heavy line-up showed that Arsenal can play gritty games and march their way through opponents. Arshavin showed fine form in the first game and DomBrown was hoping that him and the other midfielders could create chances and try and win their games or at the very least, perform well.
Arsenal UK 3-2 Splott Rovers
Another great display from the Arsenal midfielders ensured another victory in the cup. This time they created no fewer than 9 chances, with Arshavin having a hand in all 3 goals. Conceding the 2 goals may have bothered most managers but evidently not DomBrown, his team were creating and converting chances for fun, as long as they scored more goals they were happy. Da Silva notched up 2 goals as well, which would have pleased DomBrown as Arsenal UK looked like a strong outfit even from these 2 early games.
Arsenal UK 1-0 The Vikings
A solitary da Silva goal was enough to see Arsenal edge through in this tight encounter. The 35th minute was when the ball made the net bulge and Arsenal dominated possession, and created slightly more chances than their classier opponents. This had DomBrown stunned as his team wee shaping up to be the underdogs for this pre-season cup. The team was producing thoroughly solid displays to gain them a reputation which will have made them one of the teams to avoid in the cup.
Arsenal UK 4-3 Bonkers
Arsenal UK defeated arguably the strongest side in the league division in a tight and enthralling encounter. Bonkers were controlling the midfield but even they couldn’t stop the mighty train of Arsenal UK, the team produced no fewer than 3 goals in 11 minutes and created a total of 13 chances. This excellent display in which all the goals and assists were spread evenly around the team. Da Silva continued his scoring run as well, which would have put a smile on DomBrowns face as the team looked ready to face WBS in the final.
