Huddlestone shows the faith

Tom Huddlestone has signed a five-year contract at White Hart Lane.

Huddlestone has made a good impression on manager ocs18 during the Englishman’s first few days at the club after being invited to train with the first team squad.

"The the main thing the manager's trying to get us to do is pressure the opposition by not giving teams any time to rest on the ball. It's the managers enthusiasm that attracted me the most, it makes things so much easier when you know he'll listen to your thoughts or worries," said Thud.

Spurs' interest in Huddlestone proves the pattern in which the club's policy will be this season. An emphasis on youth has already seen the clubs scouts and even the manager keeping tabs on a number of future wonderkids.

News of Huddlestone's new deal comes soon after the club confirmed the signing of experienced defender Jonathan Woodgate.

“Woodgate is 6ft 2in and an excellent defender,” said ocs18. “His pace will come in handy but it’s his ability to train the youngsters in his spare time that caught my eye. It’s exactly what I want from all my more experienced players.”
