Morley Edge Tense Match

Morley News

In a game of few chances it was Morley who triumphed thanks to Gwylim Cullips sixth minute strike. It was only Cullips second ofthe season but it keeps alive Morley's hopes of avoiding relegation.

Both teams came out with very defensive formations but it was the willingness of Morley to attack early on that paid dividends, Morley won a corner which captain Val Sheridan took quickly, his cross finding the unmarked Cullip who volleyed home.

With chances at a premium both teams seemed to have cancelled each other out untill a late flurry which saw Christopher Love crash a header against the post when it looked easier to score, Morley were nearly made to rue this missed opportunity as in injury time Alan Thompsons lob hit the point where post meets the crossbar after beating Zubeldia all ends up.

Morley now have to travel to Kensington Grounds for their final away league game of the season against the Kensington Boys Club, only a win will keep Morley Towns slim hopes of survival alive.
